Vscan Air SL with Caption Guidance software provides real-time guidance that shows the user, step by step, how to manoeuvre the probe to capture diagnostic-quality standard echocardiographic views. Prescriptive guidance gives turn-by-turn prompts for probe position; a quality meter rises in real time as the image approaches diagnostic quality; AutoCapture saves the clip hands-free once the quality threshold is reached; and Save Best Clip selects the best available loop for each view. With certain cardiac views, left ventricular ejection fraction is calculated automatically from one or more of the PLAX, AP2 and AP4 views, with accuracy improving as each view is acquired — extending confident cardiac assessment to less experienced users.
